Faculty of Graduate Studies of the University of Jaffna established in May, 2009 under the provisions of No. 48 A(1) of the University Act. According to the procedures and guidelines of the Faculty of Graduate Studies Ordinance No.3 of 1987, the Faculty of Graduate Studies performs its administrative and academic activities.It gives pleasure to record the brief history and achievements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
The University Grants Commission at its meeting held on 11 June 1999 approved the establishment of a Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Jaffna to promote and to co-ordinate Postgraduate Programmes at this University. The Faculty of Graduate Studies is committed to excellence in teaching, research and scholarship in diverse fields of advanced learning to be of service to the Country.
