FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY

  • Senior Lecturer Grade I / Senior Lecturer Grade II /Lecturer (Probationary) in Engineering Technology

                       Note: Special consideration will be given to those who have degrees in Technology or  Engineering in one or more of the following fields:

Building Construction /Civil Engineering

Automobile Technology/Mechanical Engineering

Electro technology/Electrical & Electronic Engineering

 

  • Senior Lecturer Grade I / Senior Lecturer Grade II/Lecturer (Probationary) in Bio system Technology

Note: Special consideration will be given to those who have degrees in Bio system Technology specialized in one or more of the following fields

Food Production Technology

Commercial Green farming Technology

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS

Senior Lecturer Grade I                                Rs. 45,545 – 7 x 1050  – 52,895/- p.m.

Senior Lecturer Grade II                              Rs. 39,755 – 11 x 790   – 48,445/-p.m.

Lecturer (Probationary)                                  Rs.27775 – 10×645 – 34225/-p.m

Note:

In addition to the above salary, the following allowances will also be paid:

  1. Academic allowance –Senior Lecturer Gr.I/Gr.II – 136% of the basic salary
  2. Academic allowance –Lecturer (Probationary) – 100% of the basic salary
  3. Special allowance -20% of the basic salary
  4. Additional monthly allowance – 20% of the basic salary
  5. Cost of living allowance of Rs.7,800/-p.m.
  6. Interim allowance of Rs.10,000/- p.m.

Further 35% of the basic salary will be paid as Research allowance based on the research activity of the academic staff.

Applications for the above posts shall be sent to the Deputy Registrar/Academic Establishments, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely, Jaffna.

Application forms and other details may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar/ Academic Establishments, University of Jaffna, either in person or by post, on a payment of Rs.100/- per application form. Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a Money Order drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna together with a self –addressed stamped envelope 23×10 c.m. in size.

Those who wish to apply for more than one post should apply in separate forms.

Applicants from the University System/Government Departments /Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of respective Institutions. Illegible, incomplete and late applications will be rejected without intimation. Only short listed applicants will be called for an interview.
