UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS - ACADEMIC YEAR 2008/2009

APTITUDE AND PERFORMANCE TEST FOR SELECTION OF STUDENTS TO THE BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS - MUSIC /DANCE / ART &DESIGN,

Applications are hereby invited up to 01.03.2009 for the above test from the candidates those who have chosen to follow the above courses of studies at Ramanathan Academy of Fine Arts

Eligibility for Admission

Candidates who have satisfied the minimum requirements for university admission at the G.C.E (A/L) examination held in 2008 and posses a credit pass (C) in the selected subject ie Music(Carnatic) or Dance (Baratham) or Art and ordinary pass (S) in the other two subjects

Aptitude Test 

Applicants have to sit for an Aptitude Test contains Performance /Interview conducted by the University of Jaffna and will be held at the centres of University of Jaffna or Vavuniya Campus 

Submission of Applications

Applicants are required to prepare their own application forms in accordance with the format given below on A4 size paper or to obtain the from the Admissions Branch, University of Jaffna or to download from the website of the University of Jaffna www.jfn.ac.lk

Each application should accompany a paying - in- voucher obtained from any branch of the Peoples Bank for Rs.150/= drawn in favour of the A /C. No. 162-1-62-090501-3 at the Peoples Bank's Branch of the University of Jaffna along with the copy of 2008 G .C.E (A/L) Certificate indicating the result of the Common General paper and Z score, certified by the Head of school or a Justice of the Peace. The official stamp of the certifying officer should be placed on each certified copy. Candidates are required to send a self – addressed stamped envelope 23x10 cm in size along with the application form.

If any difference exists in the name indicated in the application and that in the certificate/s, candidates should submit an affidavit to confirm that they relate to one and the same person.

The Admission Card for Aptitude Test will be sent to applicants who have satisfied the admission requirements for the Aptitude Test.

The application of those who do not posses the minimum admission requirements or, those which do not accompany the payment receipt for Rs. 150/-, Certified copy of GCE A/L 2008 and the late applications will be rejected.

All applications should be sent under Registered Cover to reach the Assistant Registrar/Admissions , University of Jaffna, ,on or before 01.03.2009 with the name of the aptitude test applied for written on the top left - hand corner of the envelope .
