Applications are invited from eligible candidates for registration of the above course to be conducted after working hours on weekdays and on Saturdays at the ELTC, University of Jaffna . (Those who have already applied need not apply again)

1. Duration of the Course: (4 semesters)
2. Admission requirements:
   • The candidate should be a non graduate (trained or un trained) English teacher with minimum of three years experience in English Language Teaching at Government / Private Schools at Primary/Secondary levels.
   • The candidate should possess minimum good command of English .
3. Age: The candidate should not be more than 50 years of age.
4. Charges for the course :
   1. Application from Rs.200/-
   2. Registration fee Rs.500/-
   3. Course fee Rs.18,200/-
   4. Library/Laboratory fees-400/-
5. Selection: Selection will be based on a written aptitude test & an interview.
6. Closing Date : 20 th August 2010

Application forms : Application forms could be obtained from the Assistant Registrar, Examinations and Admissions on a Payment of Rs. 200/- at the Shroff's counter or at People's Bank - Jaffna University Branch. Duly filled applications should be forwarded on or before 20 th August 2010 to the Assistant Registrar, Admissions, University of Jaffna, Jaffna. Please write " Application for Diploma in English Language Teaching" on the top Left side of the envelope.
