Application for the post of Senior Professor should be accompanied by the following in accordance with the University Grants Commission Circular No: 838 dated 26.01.2004: i. The Curriculum Vitae ii. A self assessment, as per the marking scheme, the applicants contribution to the following areas after the applicant became a Professor: - Teaching and academic development - Research and creative works - Dissemination of knowledge and - University & National Development. Application for the post of Professor should be accompanied by the following in accordance with the University Grants Commission circular No.869 dated 30.11.2005. i. The Curriculum Vitae ii. A self assessment, as per the marking scheme of applicants whole career specifying contributions to - Teaching and academic development - Research and creative works and - Dissemination of knowledge and - University & National Development iii. Three copies of the publications, research papers and other relevant documents iv. Title of five outstanding research papers / publications Applications and other documents for the post of Senior Professor/Professor shall be sent to the Vice-Chancellor with a covering letter. Applications for the other posts shall be sent to the Senior Assistant Registrar (Establishments). Application forms and other details may be obtained from the office of the Senior Assistant Registrar/ Establishments, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, either in person or by post, on a payment of Rs.100/- per form. Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a Money Order/Postal Order drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna together with a self –addressed stamped envelope 23x10 c.m. in size. The candidates applying for the post of visiting Lecturer only may prepare their own application giving their full name, contact details, age, occupation and the details of their educational & professional qualifications and professional experience and subject area that they could teach to the undergraduates in English. These applications should be handed over directly to the Senor Assistant Registrar/ Establishments (Academic), University of Jaffna or send to him either by post or facsimile.
