Appointment of Competent Authority in lieu of the Vice Chancelor of University of Jaffna

I am please to inform you that Chairman, UGC has informed by his letter No. UGC/CH/7/3/7 dated 07.05.2019 that Emeritus Prof. Kathirkamanathan Kandasamy has been appointed as the Competent Authority in lieu of Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna with effect from 07.05.2019 for a period of three months. A Government Gazette dated 07.05.2019 has been published in this regard as well.

Emeritus Prof. Kathirkamanathan Kandasamy has been appointed for the purpose of exercising, performing or discharging in lieu of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna, any power, duty or function under the said Act or any appropriate instrument to ensure restoration of normal conditions in University of Jaffna.
