Reference to the Invitation for Bids, published on 19th November 2021 in the Daily News, Dinamina and Thinakkural newspapers for Desktop Computers – 100 Nos, the date of submission Bids extended to 23rd December 2021 at 2 PM due to the changes in the Technical specification.

 The Government of Sri Lanka has received a credit and loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development/ International Development Agency of the World Bank to implement the Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) Operation. The University of Jaffna an implementing agency under the AHEAD Operation and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit for the payments under the Contract for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance of Desktop Computer (AHEAD/RA2/IT/JFN/ARTS/GOODS/3)

• The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance of Desktop Computers University of Jaffna as follows.

• Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure.
• Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Deputy Director/ Procurement (ots@univ.jfn.ac.lk )  and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9.00 to 15.00 hours of working days during the period from 22.11.2021 to 16.12.2021
• Qualifications requirements include:
  i) The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that the bidder possesses at least three years of experience in supply of similar items.
  ii) The Bidder shall have sold at least 500 Desktop Computers of the offered make and type in Sri Lanka within the last three years.
• A complete set of bidding Documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders at the OTS, AHEAD Operation, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely, Jaffna upon the payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,500/- to the Bank A/C (Peoples Bank, University of Jaffna) with the Reference No “970000060000276 ” should be filled in the Account Number Column in the Deposit Slip. The documents may be purchased until 16.12.2021 as given in paragraph seven below.
• The bidders who are unable to purchase the documents at the OTS can download the bidding documents from the University Website (www.jfn.ac.lk) and submit the bid along with the bank slip for the payment of non-refundable fee of Rs.2,500/- to the above mentioned Bank Account.

• Bids must be delivered by hand or registered post to reach to the address stipulated below on or before 2.00 PM on 17.12.2021 Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately after the bid closing, in the presence of the bidder’s representatives who choose to attend in person at the address mentioned below. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security according to the value given in paragraph one above.
• Complete bids should be forwarded in two copies as the original and the duplicate. The original and the duplicate should be enclosed separately and marked as the “Original” and “Duplicate” respectively in sealed envelope. Then both envelopes re – enclosed in one sealed envelope marked the “Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance of Desktop Computer,” on the top left hand corner of the envelope.
• Pre – bid meeting shall be at 10 AM on 10.12.2021 at the OTS, AHEAD Operation, University of Jaffna.
