Opening of the First Building for the Faculty of Engineering

The first building of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Jaffna at Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi was ceremonially opened by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, Minister of Higher Education & Highways in the presence of Hon. Mohan Lal Grero, State Minister of Higher Education and Mr. D.C. Dissanayake, Secretary to the Ministry of Higher Education & Highways and Prof. Mohan de Silva, Chairman of University Grants Commission on 22nd November 2015 at 11.30 a.m.

This three storied building was constructed to provide infrastructure facilitiesfor the newly established Faculty of Engineering at Kilinochchi. Further, this is one of the four buildings & other structures which are being constructed for the Faculty of Engineering at the cost of Rs. 1504.0 million.
