Vacancies

University of Jaffna will entertain applications up to 09.02.2017 from suitably qualified persons for the following posts.

  • Post of Temporary Lecturer / Temporary Instructor in Music (Vocal)
  • Post of Temporary Lecturer / Temporary Instructor in Music (Violin)
  • Post of Temporary Lecturer / Temporary Instructor in Music (Miruthangam)
  • Post of Temporary Lecturer / Temporary Instructor in Music (Veena)
  • Post of Temporary Lecturer / Temporary Instructor in Dance (Bharathanatiyam)

 Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  1. A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject with First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours;

OR

  1. A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject with Second Class (Lower Division) Honours;

OR

  1. (a) A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject without Honours or any other degree with at least Second Class Honours, and
    (b) a recognized postgraduate degree in the relevant subject

Salary Scale:

Temporary Lecturer : Rs. 35,556/= p.m (fixed)

Temporary Instructor : Rs. 29,190/= p.m (fixed)

Application forms and other details may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar/ Academic Establishments, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, either in person or by post, on a payment of Rs.100/- per application form at People’s Bank, University of Jaffna Branch or at the Shroff’s counter of the University of Jaffna. Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a Money Order/Postal Order drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna together with a self–addressed stamped envelope 23×10 c.m. in size.

Those who wish to send the application forms downloaded from the University website should attach a Money Order/Postal Order for Rs.100/-  drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna.

Applications for the above posts should be sent to the Deputy Registrar/ Academic Establishments, University of Jaffna.

Applicants from the University System/Government Departments / Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of the respective Institutions. Illegible, incomplete and late applications will be rejected without intimation. Only short listed applicants will be called for the interview.
