Vacancies – Unit of Siddha Medicine

University of Jaffna will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the under mentioned posts at the Unit of Siddha Medicine:

 

  • Senior Lecturer Grade I / Senior Lecturer Grade II/ Lecturer (Probationary) in Siddha Medicine.

 Note: Preference will be given to those who have specialization at postgraduate qualification in Gunapadam and Mahalir Maruthuvam for the Post of Senior Lecturer Grade I/II in Siddha Medicine.

  • Temporary Lecturer / Temporary Demonstrator in Siddha Medicine.              

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS

Senior Lecturer Gr.II                     Rs.39755 – 11×790 – 48445/-p.m

Lecturer (Probationary)                Rs.27775 – 10×645 – 34225/-p.m

Temporary Lecturer                       Rs.26020/- p.m.  (fixed)

Temporary Demonstrator             Rs.21370/- p.m.  (fixed)

 

Note: In addition to the above salary, the following allowances will also be paid:

  1. Academic allowance – Senior Lecturer Gr.I/Gr.II – 136% of the basic salary, ecturer (Probationary)    – 100 % of the basic salary
  2. Special allowance – 20% of the basic salary
  3. Additional monthly allowance – 20% of the basic salary
  4. Cost of living allowance of Rs.7,800/-p.m.
  5. Interim allowance of Rs.10,000/- p.m

Further 35% of the basic salary will be paid as Research allowance based on the research activity of the academic staff.

Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a Money Order drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna together with a self –addressed stamped envelope 23×10 c.m. in size.

Those who wish to apply for more than one post should apply in separate forms.

Applicants from the University System/Government Departments /Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of respective Institutions. Illegible, incomplete and late applications will be rejected without intimation. Only short listed applicants will be called for an interview.
