 INVITATION FOR BID

  • The Chairman, Procurement Committee of University of Jaffna now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for “Supplying, Installation, Testing and Commissioning with Related Civil Works of Cold Room, Department of Biochemistry at Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna” at the estimated  cost of Rs 9.85 Million excluding VAT
  • This shall be a measure and pay contract and the construction period is Hundred and Twenty (120) Calendar Days.
  • Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedure.
  • To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall be registered in the field of Electrical & Mechanical services for Grade EM4 or above with the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) or having business registration in the relevant field.
  • Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Assistant Registrar, Capital Works & Planning Branch, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely, Jaffna and view the Bidding Documents at the same address on any working day from 9:00hrs to 16:00

  • A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the Assistant Registrar, Capital Works & Planning Branch, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely, Jaffna from 23rd February 2022 until 15th March 2022 from 9:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rupees Two Thousand five hundred (Rs. 2,500/)  to be deposited to  the Peoples Bank, University of Jaffna with the Reference No “970000060000276” should be filled in the Account Number column in the Deposit Slip.
  • Sealed Bids shall be delivered or sent by registered post to the Assistant Registrar, Capital Works & Planning Branch, University of Jaffna,O Box 57, Thirunelvely, Jaffna or be deposited in the tender box kept in the Capital Works & Planning Branch to reach on or before 10.00 hrs on 16th March 2022. Bids will be opened soon after closing, at 10.00 hrs on 16th March 2022 at the same venue in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend.
  • Bids shall be valid at least for a period of 90 Days from the date fixed for receiving of Bids or any extended date.
  • All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security which shall be;
    • In the form included in the Section 09 in the Bidding document.
    • In favour of Vice Chancellor, University of Jaffna.
    • For a amount of 100,000.00/=
    • Issued by one of the agencies indicated in the clause 16.0 of the Section – 5
  • Pre bid meeting will be held at the Board Room, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, Adiyapatham Road, Thirunelvely, Jaffna at 00 hrs on 08th March 2022.
