Applicants are hereby requested to apply online through the http://sis.jfn.ac.lk Following documents will be required to be uploaded to process your application. Therefore, please have the documents scanned into either ‘jpeg’ or ‘jpg’ formats and each image size should be less than 5MB.

  • Selection Letter sent by the UGC
  • Your recent photograph.
  • National Identity Card Front Side
  • National Identity Card Back Side
  • School Leaving Certificate Front Side
  • School Leaving Certificate Back Side
  • Paid Bank Slip (payment of 2350/= should be made in any branch of the Peoples’ Bank in favor of the University of Jaffna Account No (Listed below.)
  • You are requested to submit “Non Submission of Documents Form,” if you are unable to upload any of the document listed above.

After completion of the online application procedure, the candidate must download Application Form for Registration, Student Identity Card Form and Declaration for Degree Certificate and sign the printed Pdf file then sent to the Assistant Registrar, Admissions Branch, University of Jaffna, Ramanthan Road, Thirunelvely, Jaffna, under registered post along with all the original documents. Please indicate “University Admission-(Course and Academic Year)” in the top left hand corner of the envelope.

Note: –

  1. Application Form for Registration and photo copies of the documents and 02 Nos of photographs should be certified by the relevant officials with official stamp. (Principal/Grama Servakar/ Justice of Peace /Executive officers of any Government organizations)
  2. Medical should be obtained in a Government hospital.
  3. You should send the original receipt for payment of Rs.2350.00. which made at the Peoples bank.
  4. You are requested to submit “Non Submission of Documents Form” if you are unable to submit any of the document listed above.
  5. You are requested to make corrections, if any, in the downloaded application form.

Submission of Statement Form:

The duly completed statement form should be submitted at the Admissions Branch after entering the Name and Registration Number in the statement form submission register maintained at the Admissions Branch. The payment of Rs.100 should be made at the peoples Bank Account Number: 480000030000102. Forms could be downloaded in the “STUDENTS DOWNLOADS

Collecting Statement:

At the time of collecting statement the students should produce the following documents at the Admissions Branch.

  1. University Identity Card.(If lost, Police report should be submitted)

 Conditions for collecting Degree Certificates

  • At the time of collecting degree certificates the students should handover the following documents at the Admissions Branch.
    • University Identity Card.(If lost, Police report should be submitted)
    • Cloak return acknowledgement receipt issued by the Record Keeper.
    • If the student did not submit the statement application form, the same should be submitted in order to confirm that there are no dues at the library, Hostel, etc. (The students must collect their statement first, then after the Degree Certificate will be issued)
  • The following documents should be submitted at the Admissions Branch if a degree certificate of a student should be handed over to nominee.
    • University Identity Card. (If lost, Police report should be submitted)
    • Cloak return acknowledgement receipt issued by the Record Keeper.
    • If the student did not submit the statement application form, the same should be submitted in order to confirm that there are no dues at the library, Hostel, etc. (The students must collect their statement first, then after the Degree Certificate will be issued)
    • Request letter of the student (The letter should mention the reason for inability to come in person, Registration No, Name, Address, NIC Number and Name of the Nominee who will receive the certificate)
    • The nominee should produce his/her NIC at the time of collecting the degree certificate.

Diploma holders should make a payment of Rs.900 at any branch of the Peoples’ Bank in favour of the University of Jaffna collection account, Reference Number: 970000440002687. Please note that payments cannot be made via online for this purpose.
