General Functions / Services

  • Providing transport facilities and maintenance of vehicles
  • Coordinating the matters related to the provision of on call hiring vehicle services.
  • Coordinating the annual verification of the university assets and disposal of discarding items.
  • Maintaining the intra- and extra-communication system of the university.
  • Coordinating the matters related to private security services
  • Coordinating the matters related to outsource manpower services
  • Coordinating the matters related to internal and external postal services
  • Repairing servicing and annual licensing of equipment, furniture and machineries of the university.
  • Leasing / renting lands, buildings for the use of the University of Jaffna.
  • Making / extending agreements with the owners or leasers.
  • Maintaining the records of the university lands and properties.
  • Coordinating the payments related to utility bills.
  • Providing accommodation facilities to the staff / guests and maintenance of staff quarters and guest houses of the university.
