Pre-qualifications of Firms for the Development of Integrated Operating System for the
Faculty of Science

The Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the Consultancy Procurement Committee now invites companies/ firms for pre-qualification to develop an Integrated Operating System for Faculty of Science, University of Jaffna.

  • The purpose of this project is to develop a scalable, secure, robust and responsive online system to streamline all activities of the Faculty of Science. The system should be flexible enough to adapt to evolving policy and administrative rules.
  • Scope of the services includes development of a Management Information System and providing training and support to manage the activities mentioned below:
    • Student admission and management
    • Student welfare services management
    • Examination process management
    • Meeting management
    • Staff support services management
  • The interested companies/ firms having relevant experience should submit their EOI’s in duplicate along with the following information in English stating the background of their organization and details of professional experts to be assigned for the service required.

a) Certificate of Registration of the firm as legal entity.
b) Registration of the firm with the relevant professional body (if any).
c) Documents to substance the forming of Joint Venture/ association (if any).
d) VAT registration certificate.
e) Audited statements of accounts and annual turnover for last three years.
f) List of similar system developments with contract amounts.
g) A certificate/ affidavit that the firm has not been black listed or debarred by any Government/ Semi Government/ Autonomous/ International body.

  • Request for proposals (RFP) will only be issued to the short – listed firms.
  • The EOI’s shall be submitted to Senior Assistant Bursar- Supplies, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely, Jaffna by post or in person to reach his office on or before 2.00 pm on 26 April, 2019. For any clarification, you may contact Dr. E Y A Charles, Senior Lecturer (T/P No: 0774696795).
  • University of Jaffna will not reimburse any cost or expenses incurred in connection with preparation or delivery of EOI or visits to any office or site.
