Seminar on Clean Energy Technologies

On 27.05.2017, a seminar was arranged as part of the collaborative project titled ‘Higher Education and Research collaboration on Nanomaterials for Clean Energy Technologies (HRNCET)’ between the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), Norway and University Jaffna.

Four final year electrical engineering undergraduates from HVL were on a short visit to UoJ. Those undergraduates from HVL and undergraduates from University of Jaffna exchanged their scientific knowledge generated through their final year undergraduate research projects in the filed of clean energy during the seminar.

The Norwegian students visited also the Nanoscience Research Laboratory of the Department of Physics, University of Jaffna. This student exchange programme is one of several activities under the HRNCET project,  which secured a grant of 4.7 million NOK (~85 million rupees) from  Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) under Norwegian Partnership Programme for Global Academic Cooperation (NORPART) Grant.
