Applications are invited by me up to 12th October, 2020 from suitably qualified persons for the following posts.

UNIVERSITY MEDICAL OFFICER

The University is looking for a highly motivated individual who has the following qualifications.

Qualifications:

Medical Degree of a recognized University with at least 3 years’ experience as Medical Practitioner. Training in counseling will be an added qualification.

NOTE: One year period of service as Intern Medical Officer will be considered for the required
period of experience.

Granting of study leave to the selected candidates to obtain postgraduate qualifications or            experience according to the requirements of the University may be considered, subject to     exigencies of service.

 Salary Scale: U-MO1(II) -Rs.55,350 -10 x 1,335; 1 x 1,630 – 70,330/- p.m.

 Selection    : By Structured Interview

AUDIT ASSISTANT, GRADE II

Qualifications:

  • Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects at one sitting with credit passes in:
    1. Sinhala Language/ Tamil Language
    2. English Language/ English Literature
    3. Mathematics

AND

  • Should have passed in all subject at G.C.E. (A/L) Examination (except the Common General Paper) at one sitting (Passing in 3 subjects under the old syllabus at one sitting would be sufficient for this purpose.)

AND

Post Specific qualifications:

  • Preliminary Level/ Licentiate I/ Foundation Level/ CAB I/ Executive Level of Institute of Chartered Accountants in Sri Lanka or equivalent.

OR

  • Foundation Level of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

OR

  • Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA) of Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE).

OR

  • Membership of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) of Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka.

AND

  • Minimum of two (02) year experience in Auditing in State or Recognized Private Organization.

Preference will be given to those who posses an acceptable qualification in computer applications of not less than six (06) months duration obtained from a recognized institute.

Salary Scale : U-MN2 (II) – Rs.37,275–18×495-46,185 p.m.

Age                : Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years

TECHNICAL OFFICER (ICT), GRADE III

Qualifications:

  • Should pass in three (3) subjects at the G.C.E (A/L) examination in one sitting in Science Subjects in the Science Stream; Subject combination/s to be decided by the Faculty concerned upon the recommendation of the Department.

AND

  • Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the N.V.Q Level 5 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or recognized Institution in the field of information Communication and Multimedia Technology/Information and Communication Technology/ Information Technology or Equivalent.

* Preference will be given for who have work experience in ICT.

Salary Scale : U-MT1(IIIA) – Rs.31,625-7×300;10×355-37,275 p.m.

Selection      : By Written and/or practical test and an interview

Age               : Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years

NURSING OFFICER, GRADE II

Qualifications:

  • GCE (Ordinary Level) Examination in Six subjects at not more than two sitting with credit passes in three subjects.

AND

  • Certificate of competence as a Nurse recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council.

Salary Scale : U-MT1(IIIA) – Rs.31,625-7×300;10×355-37,275 p.m.

Selection      : By Interview

Age              : Not less than 18 years and not more than 40 years.

PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTOR, GRADE III

Qualifications:

  • Should have passed the Public Health Inspectors examination conducted by the Department
    of Health.

Salary Scale: U-MT1(IIIA) – Rs.31,625 – 7×300; 10×355 -37,275 p.m.

Selection    : By Interview

Age             : Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.

INSTRUMENT CARETAKER CUM REPAIRER, GRADE III (Dancing instruments)

Qualifications:

  • Should have sat for the G.C.E (A/L) Examination
  • Should have at least two (02) years’ experience and ability in repairing and fixing Musical Instruments or Dancing Instruments or Arts & Sculpture Instruments in a Higher Educational Institute or reputed institute.
      1. Experience in maintenance of issue registers and storage of instruments.
      2. Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
      3. Should be of good character sound physical health.

Salary Scale : U-MN1 (IIIA) – Rs.30,725-17×300-35,825p.m.

Selection     : By Practical test and interview

Age               : Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years

CARPENTER, GRADE II

Qualifications:

  • Pass in the 8th standard.
  • Should be conversant with the
    1. Various types of joints and preparation of such joints for work in carpentry used in building and furniture trade;
    2. Use of various types of tools, various species of wood and reading of drawings;
    3. Reading of scales up to 1/32” accurately.
    4. Not less than 2 years’ experience in carpentry.

Salary Scale: U-PL 3(III) -Rs.29,915-16×270-34,235 p.m.

Selection     : By Trade Test and Interview

Age              : Not less than 18 years and not more than 40 years.

Note: Age limit is not applicable for applicants in the Government departments/ State Corporation and statuary bodies.

Applications must accompany a bank deposit slip and copies of relevant documents.

The envelope containing the duly filled application form must bear Title of the Post on its top left hand corner and either hand delivered or sent under registered post to reach the Office of the Deputy Registrar/Non-Academic Establishments of this University on or before 12.10.2020.

Applicants from Government Departments, State Corporations and Statutory Bodies should apply through their Heads of respective Institutions. Advance copies of applications may be sent in the first instance. However, no such applicant will be considered for appointment if the application routed through the Head of Department is not received.
