28.01.2026, 29.01.2026, and 30.01.2026

40th General Convocation of the University of Jaffna will be held on 28th, 29th and 30th January 2026 for the conferment of Postgraduate Degrees, Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas. Those of you who have passed the following examinations and are eligible to be conferred a degree at the above 40th General  Convocation are kindly requested to supplicate from 21.11.2025 to 15.12.2025 at 9.00 am.

 Instructions

  • Submission of Supplication Forms – Internal Graduands

All the internal graduands are hereby requested to submit their Google forms on or before 15.12.2025 at 9.00 am via online. Supplication form will be required to be uploaded to process applications. Therefore, please have the supplication form scanned into either ‘jpeg’ or ‘jpg’ or ‘pdf ‘ format, not exceeding the image size of 2MB for each scanned document.

Internal Graduands Only

Printed hard copy of the supplication form (with the attached payment slip) should be sent by registered post. Please indicate “40th General Convocation- (Student Registration Number: …….)” by writing your registration number on the top left hand corner of the envelope to reach the following address on or before 20.12.2025.

  • Submission of Supplication Forms – External Graduands ( Centre for Open & Distance Learning)

All the extenal graduands are hereby requested to submit their online forms on or before 15.12.2025 at 9.00 am via Student Information System (SIS) 

External Graduands Only

Downloaded and printed hard copy of the supplication form (with the attached payment slip) should be sent by registered post. Please indicate “40th General Convocation- (Student Registration Number: …….)” by writing your registration number on the top left hand corner of the envelope to reach the following address on or before 20.12.2025

  • All the External Graduands are hereby requested to submit their supplication form to the postal address given below:

Method of Payment

Payments should be made at any branch of the Peoples’ Bank in favour of the University of Jaffna collection account. Please note that payments cannot be made via online for this purpose. Please write your Name and Student Registration Number in the Bank slip indicating appropriate reference number as given below:

Please write one of the above bank account (reference) number in the deposit slip as reference number respective of your degree type and according to whether you receive the degree award attending in person or in absentia. Please note that Bank will not accept any deposit without Reference Number as above.

 Note: The graduands those who opt to get their degree In- Absentia need not pay their cloak hire fee and photo fee.

Cloak

Graduands who supplicate to receive degree ‘In Person’ will be issued a cloak for the convocation at the Record Room of the University of Jaffna and the date for issuing cloaks will be notified in due course.

Dues to the University

Degree certificates will not be issued to those who fail to discharge any liabilities or dues to the University.
