Aptitude / Practical Test for the Selection of candidates for the

Bachelor of Science Honours in Physical Education Degree Programme

Applications to follow the above Degree Programme are hereby invited from suitable candidates who possess the minimum university admission requirements for the Academic Year 2024/2025.

Eligibility for Admissions

Candidates who wish to follow the Bachelor of Science Honours in Physical Education should have obtained at least three “S” grades in any three subjects at G.C.E (A/L) examination 2024 and qualify physical fitness assessment to be eligible for the university admissions for the academic year 2024/2025.

Method of Evaluation

Applications will be evaluated on the basis of practical test and previous sports achievements as below:

Submission of Application

Applicants are hereby requested to apply online through University website on or before 16.05.2025. Payment receipt of application fee and photocopy of the G.C.E (A/L) 2024 result sheet and certified copies of certificates of their highest sports achievements certified by the principal of the school  or a Justice of the Peace must be attached along with the application.

The downloaded application form signed by the candidate, the original payment receipt, G.C.E (A/L) 2024 result sheet and certified copies of sports achievement certificates should be sent under registered cover or handed over to Senior Assistant Registrar, Admissions Branch, University of Jaffna, Ramanathan Road, Thirunelvely by mentioning “Application for Physical Education – 2024/2025” in the left hand corner of the envelope to reach the above address on or before 20.05.2025.

Eligible candidates will receive the Admission Card only via email.

Payment Method

The application fee of Rs.2,000/= may be made in any branch of the Peoples’ Bank in favor of the University of Jaffna Account No. 440002410001667. Please note that payments cannot be made via online for this purpose.

The applications of those who do not possess the minimum admission requirements, those which do not accompany the paying in voucher, the certified photo copy of G.C.E (A/L) 2024 results sheet or applications received after the closing date will be rejected.
