Walk-in-interview – Post of Scientific Assistant Grade I & II (Temporary) – Faculty of Science

Walk-in-Interview

Walk-in-interview for the following temporary positions will be held on 20th of September, 2024 at 3.00 pm in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Science, University of Jaffna.

Scientific Assistant Grade I (Temporary)

• A First or Second Class (Upper Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant subject with 03 years experience after obtaining such degree qualifications.*
  OR
• A Second Class (Lower Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant subject with approved Postgraduate/ Professional qualifications.*

Scientific Assistant Grade II (Temporary) **

• A First or Second Class (Upper Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant subject.*
  OR
• A Second Class (Lower Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant subject.*
  OR
•  A pass in the BA/ BSc Special Degree Examination in the relevant subject.*
  OR
• A pass in the BA/ BSc General Degree Examination with a recognized Postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject.*

* Preference will be given to those who have specialized in Computer Science/ Information Communication Technology / Information Technology / Information Systems / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering

** If suitable candidates for the post of Scientific Assistant Gr.I are available the post of Scientific Assistant Gr.II may not be considered

Note: Candidates who are awaiting the results of the final degree examinations may also apply

Remuneration

• Scientific Assistant Grade I (Temporary) Rs.50,625/- (fixed) p.m.
• Scientific Assistant Grade II (Temporary) Rs.48,385/- (fixed) p.m.
