Posts of Temporary Assistant Lecturer/Temporary Instructor

 

Walk-in interviews for the following position will be conducted at the Mini Board Room of the Sir Ponnambalam Ramanathan Faculty of Visual and Performing Arts, University of Jaffna, on the date and time specified below:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

  •  A Honours Degree with specialization in the relevant subject with First or Second Class Upper Division.
    OR
  • A Honours Degree with specialization in the relevant subject with Second Class Lower Division.
    OR
  • A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject without Honours or any other degree with at least Second Class Honours,
    AND
    A Recognized Postgraduate Degree in the relevant subject.

NOTE:

Candidates who are awaiting results of the final degree examination may also be permitted to             appear for the above interview.

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS

Temporary Assistant Lecturer
A fixed monthly salary of Rs.85,305/-, subject to a deduction of Rs.17,812/- as an unpaid amount, in accordance with Commission Circular No.02/2025 (i) dated 04.04.2025
Temporary Instructor
A fixed monthly salary of Rs.68,145/-, subject to a deduction of Rs.12,058/- as an unpaid amount, in accordance with Commission Circular No.02/2025 (i) dated 04.04.2025

In addition to the above salary, all allowances applicable to the post as approved by the University Grants Commission will be paid.

Interested candidates possessing the required qualifications are requested to attend the interview for the above-mentioned posts. Applicants must bring the following documents:

  • Original and certified copies of educational and other relevant certificates
  • National Identity Card
  • A duly completed application form – (Separate applications for each post & downloadable from the University of Jaffna website)
  • The bank deposit slip for a payment of Rs. 100/-, credited to the University of Jaffna Collection Account No: 970000090000387 at the People’s Bank, in favor of the Bursar, University of Jaffna.
