The fifth day workshop was designed and delivered to assist student groups in finalizing their social action project plans. The coordinator for the GGP- UNICYCLE programme; Dr. Mrs. T. Suvanthini and the facilitators from the University of Jaffna (Miss. A. Nirosha; Dr. Mrs. L. Pradheeban; Mr. N. Sivakaran; Miss. R. Sivagowri; Miss. A. Riophila; Mr. S. Kabilan; Dr. K. Gajapathy; Dr. Mrs. S. Yohi; and Dr. Mrs. Thulasitha William Shanthakumar) along with Miss S. Nivetha (Active Citizen Alumni) and Mr. Remo Shihan (Lead facilitator and Mentor appointed by the British Council) guided the students to plan the Social Action Projects.
Participants eagerly attended the event, and the next step will commence this week where their proposals will be reviewed and approved. Once finalized, they will implement their social action projects in April – May 2022 on diverse themes: food security, gender equity and equality, sexual and gender-based violence, the environment and climate change.
