University of Jaffa will entertain applications from qualified persons for the under mentioned post up to 28.07.2021.

  • Post of Temporary Research Assistants – “A.S.Thambiah Endowment Chair in Oncology – Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna”

Salary Scale: Rs.49,860/- (Fixed) pm

Qualifications:

Should have the basic degree in the field of health care and having Undergraduate research experience in health research.

  • A First or Second class (Upper Division) in a basic degree Examination in the relevant subject.

OR

  • A Second class ( Lower Division) in a basic degree Examination in the relevant subject.

OR

  • An ordinary pass in the B.ScSpecial Degree Examination in the relevant subject.

OR

  • An ordinary pass in the B.Sc General Degree Examination with a recognized postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject

Note :Having research experience in the field of oncology will be preferable.

Perfected applications shall be sent to the Senior Assistant Registrar / Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, Adiyapatham  Road, Kokuvil, Jaffna.

Those who wish to send the application forms downloaded from the Faculty  website should accompany with the paid Bank Slip for the deposit of a sum of Rs.  100/- credited to the Peoples Bank Account No: 162-1-001-6-0000880 (Ref number should be mentioned: 970000090000387) of Bursar, University of Jaffna.

Application forms and other details may be obtained from the office of the Senior Assistant Registrar / Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, on a payment of Rs.  100 / – per application form.  Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a self – addressed stamped envelope 23×10 cm in size along with the paid Bank Slip to the above address.

Applicants from the University System/Government Departments/Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of respective Institutions, but may send an advance copy in the first instance.  However, no such applicant will be considered for interview, if the application channeled through the Head of the Department is not received.

Illegible & incomplete applications, and applications received by the University after the closing date will be rejected without intimation. Only short-listed applicants will be called  for an interview.
