Admission of Public Officers for Degree Programme to follow B.Sc.Honours in (Agriculture)

ADMISSION OF PUBLIC OFFICERS FOR DEGREE PROGRAMME IN B.Sc.Honours in AGRICULTURE (2021/2022)

Applications will be entertained by the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture University of Jaffna for the Admission of Public Officers for Degree Programme to follow B.Sc.Honours in (Agriculture) as internal students for the Academic Year 2021/2022.

  • The applicant should have passed the A/L Examination in Biological Science and qualified to enter the University.

OR

  • Any other qualification, as may be approved by the Faculty Board and the Senate.

AND

  • Diploma in Agriculture (Course duration not less than 2 years) obtained from any recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a capacity of not less than middle level Technical Officer Grade in the field of Agriculture after obtaining Diploma Course.

Age: Candidate should be less than 45 years of age at the time of closing date of applications.

Application forms may be obtained from the Assistant Registrar, Admissions Branch, University of Jaffna, on a payment of Rs.100/- each at the Shroff Counter or People’s Bank, University of Jaffna.  Request for application by post should be accompanied by postal order or money order for Rs.100/- drawn in favour of the Bursar, Envelope not less than 9”x 4” size.

Guideline for the Payment

  • Please pay at any branch of the People’s Bank island wide using the usual deposit slip.
  • Fill your personal information in the slip and use reference no in place of account number.
  • Take and keep a photocopy of the slip with you before providing it to the university.
  • Original slip should be sent with the application form.

Date of closing is on 24th March 2023

Applications should be forwarded through the relevant Heads of Department to Senor Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna, Ariviyalnagar, Kilinochchi by registered post and indicate “Application form Admission of Public Officers for Degree programme B.SC Honours in Agriculture – 2021/2022” at the top left hand corner of the envelop. If not those applications will be rejected.

  • Selected candidates will be called to attend for a Written Test and an Oral Examination.
  • No application will be entertained after the closing date of application.
