Certificate Course in Molecular Biology Laboratory Techniques – Batch II
Application are invited from suitable candidates (see below for required qualifications) who wish to follow the Certificate Course in Molecular Biology Laboratory techniques (Extension programmes) conducted by the Department of Zoology, University of Jaffna.
Certificate Course in Molecular Biology Laboratory Techniques
Minimum qualification requirements: This certificate programme is of vocational nature and does not carry any credits. This programme is parallel to the SLQF level 1 and NVQ LEVEL 2 (Certificate where the minimum entry requirements will be completion of G.C.E. Advanced Level (Biology/ Biotechnology) or with any other professional experience or qualification which deemed acceptable to the selection panel.
Course structure: The proposed course unit does not have any credit value and it consists of 80 contact hours including the practical sessions and theory classes.
Registration fee: 1, 000.00 LKR
Course fee: 15, 000.00 LKR to be paid upon registration (all inclusive) Payable at after the selection of application (on or before the 30th September 2018)
Selection method: By application screening and first come first served basis as the seat number is limited to 20 per batch
Course duration: 10 weekends
Evaluation: Candidates will be evaluated by means of continuous assessments, successful completion of experiments and on spot evaluation by the instructors.
Award of certificate: Candidates who successfully complete the course will be awarded with a certificate signed by Course coordinator, Dean/ Science and the Vice-Chancellor. Awardees can use abbreviation of the certificates as Cer in MolBiol Lab Tech.
