The faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna wishes to call for bids for the supply of Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) Solution.

In this connection the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, is requesting expression of interest from qualified firms.

Description

The purpose of this software is to ease the manual processing of MCQ examination marking in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna. Manual marking and processing of MCQ examination is getting harder and time consuming with the increase in the number of students in each batch. It will be helpful to fulfill the requirement of providing the results earlier to the students with the use of Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) solution and Mark Processing software.

Scope: The interested parties may express their interest in the following scope of the work.

Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) Solution

  • Automatically recognizes bubbles, checkboxes and machine printed text with elimination of duplicates.
  • Design and processing of multi-page and double-sided forms.
  • Ability to manually correct the errors and exceptions in the scanned answers.
  • Ability to do statistics calculation and export analysis reports
  • Export data to various formats (SPSS, Access, Excel, CSV, PDF, HTML, etc.)
  • Automatically filters data and generate analysis reports.

Mark Processing Software

  • Add, edit, remove subjects and examinations
  • Supports the Multiple True/ False (MTF) question type, Single Best Answer (SBA) questiontype, and Multiple Answers Question (EMI) type.
  • Configure the number of students, pages, questions, max and min marks, date, etc.
  • Prepare marking scheme based on the question type.
  • Supports data validation and answer sheet validation.
  • Prepare general result sheet, subject wise mark analyzing, MCQ detail report, etc.
  • Supports negative marking system.

Compatible A4 Multifunction Laser Printer

  • Supports and be compatible with the printing and scanning of MCQ answer sheet.
