Vacant: Post of Public Health Networking Person- Full Time, on Contract Basis

UNIVERSITY OF JAFFNA, SRI LANKA has been selected as an awardee for This is Public Health [TIPH] Global Grant Program, awarded by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH)

The TIPH Global Grant Program seeks to build on the success of the original TIPH campaign and increase the visibility of public health around the world.

Required qualifications and experience:

Requirements:          

  • A medical graduate (including the medical graduate from a UGC recognised foreign medical schools)
  • Having experience in public health is an advantage

Remuneration:

A monthly salary of LKR 60,000.00 inclusive of CLA and Appointee will contribute 8% of his/ her salary towards the Employee’s Provident Fund  and the employer will contribute 12% of his/ her salary towards Employees’ Provident Fund and 3% towards Employee’s Trust Fund.

General Conditions:

  • Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
  • Age should be below 45 years on the date of closing application.

Professional competencies required:

  • High level of proficiency in written and spoken English, Sinhala and Tamil
  • Should have adequate knowledge and skills in handling IT related activities including managing websites and social media
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Tamil, Sinhala and in English with officials and different stakeholders including local public health experts
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment inspiring trust and cooperation of other team members.
  • Ability to achieve the targets in time align plan.
