  1. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedure.
  1. To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall be registered in the field of Building Construction for Bid No. 1, 2 &3 and Electrical & Mechanical for Bid No. 4 with the Institute for Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) as indicated in the above table.
  1. Interested bidders may obtain further information from Senior Assistant Registrar, Capital Works & Planning Branch, University of Jaffna and inspect the bidding documents at the same address on any working day from 9:00hrs to 16:00 Contact numbers are: Phone: 021 2219201 Fax: 021 221 9201.
  1. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Capital Works & Planning Branch, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely, Jaffna from 10th February 2025 until 26th February from 9:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs and upon payment of a non-refundable fee detail given above table  to be deposited to  the People’s Bank, University of Jaffna branch with the Reference No “970000060000276” should be filled in the Account Number column in the Deposit Slip.
  1. Sealed Bids shall be delivered or sent by registered post to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Capital Works & Planning Branch, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely, Jaffna P.O Box 57 or be deposited in the tender box kept in the Capital Works & Planning Branch to reach on or before 10.00 hrs on 27th February 2025. Bids will be opened soon after closing, at 10.00 hrs on 27th February 2025 at the same venue in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend.
  1. Bids shall be valid at least for a period of 91 Days from the closing date of Bids submission or any extended date.
  1. All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security which shall be;
  • In the form included in the Section 09 in the Bidding document.
  • In favour of Vice Chancellor, University of Jaffna.
  • For the amount indicated in the above table against each work.
  • Issued by one of the agencies indicated in the clause 16.0 of the Section 5.
  1. Pre Bid meeting will be held at Capital Works & Planning Branch, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely at 10.00 hrs on 19th February, 2025.
