INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Chairperson, Procurement Committee of University of Jaffna now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the following works.

Interested bidders may obtain further information from Deputy Registrar, Capital Works & Planning Unit, University of Jaffnaand inspect the bidding documents at the same address on any working day from 9:00hrs to 16:00 Contact numbers are: Phone: 021 2219201 Fax: 021 221 9201.

A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Deputy Registrar, Capital Works & Planning Unit, University of Jaffna up to 1^st September, 2016 from 09:00 hrs to 15.00 hrs upon payment of a non refundable fee of rupees three thousand five hundred (Rs.3,500/-) for each bids No 1, 6, 8, 9, 10 & 12 and one thousand five hundred rupees ( Rs.1,500/-) each for other bids.

Bids shall be delivered or sent by registered post to the Chairperson, Procurement Committee of University of Jaffna, P.O Box 57, Thirunelvely, Jaffna or be deposited in the tender box kept in the Registrar’s office to reach on or before 14.00 hrs on the 2^nd September, 2016. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter on 2^nd September, 2016 in the Board room of the University in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend.

Bids shall be valid for a period for 90 days from the date fixed for closing of Bids or any extend period.

All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security which shall be;

In the form included in Section 09 in the Bidding document.
For the amount as indicated in the above table.
Valid up to 31^st December, 2016
In favour of “Vice Chancellor, University of Jaffna.”
Issued by one of the agencies indicated in the clause 16 of ITB of the schedule.

Pre Bid meeting will be held at Board room, University of Jaffna at 10.00 hrs on the 23^rdAugust, 2016 for all works other than the work No. 6 & 7 for which a Pre Bid meeting will be held 10.00 hrs on 24^thAugust, 2016 at the board room of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi.
