Preservation and Digitization of Sri Lankan Tamilology Collection

University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka will entertain applications for the “Project Assistant” full-time contract basis under the project titled “Preservation and Digitization of Sri Lankan Tamilology Collection” from suitable qualified persons.

Required Qualifications and Experience 

• Should have passed the G.C.E (O/L) examination in six subjects (not more than two sittings) with two credit passes including Tamil language and mathematics and Ordinary pass in English language.
  AND
• Should have passed the G.C. E. A/L examination with three passes.
  AND
• Should have obtained a certificate of proficiency in NVQ level 5 or above issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or recognized Institution in the field of Library Science, Social Science, Arts and Humanities, Siddha Medicine, and  Applied Science.

* Preference will be given for those have obtained a certificate of proficiency not below the NVQ level 4 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or a recognized Institution in the field of Information Communication and Multimedia Technology/ Information and Communication Technology/ Information Technology/ Database Management System/ Graphic design

Salary: LKR 30,000.00 per month. In addition, EPF 12% and ETF 3% will be paid.

Age Limit: Not more than 35 years on the closing date of application.
