University of Jaffa will entertain applications from qualified persons for the under mentioned post up to 28.07.2021.

Post of Temporary Research Assistants  – “Lee Foundation Endowment for Orthopaedic Surgery – Professorial Surgical Unit Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna”

Salary Scale:

• Temporary Research Assistants – Rs.49,860/- (Fixed) pm

Qualifications:

• Pre intern medical officers :
  Those who have completed the Final MBBS Examination.
  Selection will be based on the order of Merit list.
• Para-Medical or Science based qualified graduates :
  I. A First or Second Class (Upper Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.
  OR
  II. A Second class ( Lower Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.
  OR
  III. An ordinary pass in the B.Sc Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.

AND

• The graduates those who have an excellent track record on under undergraduate research, publications, IT skills, statistical analysis skills, and English Language skills.

Post of Temporary Scientific Assistants – “Lee Foundation Endowment for Orthopaedic Surgery – Professorial Surgical Unit Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna”

Salary Scale:

• Temporary Scientific Assistants Rs.48,385 / – (fixed) pm

Qualifications:

Para-Medical or Science based qualified graduates :

• A First or Second Class (Upper Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.
  OR
• A Second Class ( Lower Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.
  OR
• An ordinary pass in the B.Sc Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.
  OR
• An ordinary pass in the B.Sc General Degree Examination with a recognized postgraduate qualification in the relevant field.

Note: Having an excellent track record on undergraduate research, publications, IT skills, statistical analysis skills, and English Language skills will be given priority.

Perfected applications shall be sent to the Senior Assistant Registrar / Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, Adiyapatham Road, Kokuvil, Jaffna.

Those who wish to send the application forms downloaded from the University website should accompany with the paid Bank Slip for the deposit of a sum of Rs. 100/- credited to the Peoples Bank Account No: 162-1-001-6-0000880 (Ref number should be mentioned: 970000090000387)  of Bursar, University of Jaffna.

Application forms and other details may be obtained from the office of the Senior Assistant Registrar / Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, on a payment of Rs. 100 / – per application form. Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a self – addressed stamped envelope 23×10 cm in size along with the paid Bank Slip to the above address. The post applied for should be marked on the top left hand corner of the envelope.

Applicants from the University System/Government Departments/Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of respective Institutions, but may send an advance copy in the first instance. However, no such applicant will be considered for interview, if the application channeled through the Head of the Department is not received.

Illegible & incomplete applications, and applications received by the University after the closing date will be rejected without intimation. Only short-listed applicants will be called for an interview.
