University of Jaffna will entertain applications from qualified persons for the under-mentioned post up to 10.06.2022. 

  • Post of Temporary Scientific Assistants
    “Lee Foundation Endowment for Orthopaedic Surgery – Professorial Surgical Unit Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna”

Salary scale:              Rs.48, 385 / – (fixed) pm

Qualifications:

  • Para-Medical or Science Based Qualified Graduates from the following categories:

I

  • A First or Second Class (Upper Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.

II

  •  A Second Class (Lower Division) in a Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.

III

  • An ordinary pass in the B.Sc. Special Degree Examination in the relevant field.

IV

  • An ordinary pass in the B.Sc. General Degree Examination with a recognized postgraduate qualification in the relevant field.

Note: Having an excellent track record on undergraduate research, publications, IT skills, statistical analysis skills, and English Language skills will be given priority.

Interested candidates with the required qualifications are requested to send scanned copies of relevant certificates along with their duly filled applications in the prescribed application format. Prescribed application form downloaded from the website must accompany paid bank slip for the deposit of a sum of Rs.100.00 credited to the people’s Bank Account No (Ref No): 970000090000387 in favor of Bursar, University of Jaffna.

Applicants from the University System/ Government Departments/ Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of respective Institutions, but may send an advance copy in the first instance.  However, no such applicant will be considered for interview, if the application channeled through the Head of the Department is not received.

Illegible & incomplete applications, and applications received by the University after the closing date will be rejected without intimation. Only short-listed applicants will be called for an interview. The date of the selection interview for the above post will be notified to the eligible applicants via email.
