Rural health development project: Bridging the gaps in Primary care through Community Health Workers in Kilinochchi District

Temporary Appointments

 The University of Jaffna will entertain applications from qualified persons for the under-mentioned posts.

  1. Post of Project Coordinator (Female) –  Vacant – 03 post

Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to those who have experience in community-based health-related project coordination.

Remuneration: A monthly salary of LKR 32,608.00 will be paid.

  1. Post of Community Health Worker (Female)  – Vacant – 12 posts

Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to those who have experience in community-based health-related projects.
  • The candidate should be residing in Kilinochchi District.

Remuneration: A monthly salary of LKR 32,608.00 will be paid.

General notes to all the above posts

  • All the candidates should annex the character certificate from their respective Grama Niladhari.
  • Ability to work in the field of any part of Northern Province, Sri Lanka.
  • Candidates should possess excellent language skills in Tamil.
  • All the selected candidates will be appointed as full-time on a contract basis for One year.
  • Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
  • Age should be not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years.
  • All the selected candidates will become contributors to the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) and the Employee Trust Fund (ETF), in which case, the employee should contribute 8% of the monthly salary to the EPF and the employer will contribute 12% & 3% of the monthly salary to EPF & ETF respectively.

The Application forms downloaded from here should accompany with the paid Bank slip for the deposit of a sum of Rs.100/- credited to the people’s Bank Account No (Ref No): 970000090000387 in favor of Bursar, University of Jaffna.

Applicants are requested to send their applications with copies of the educational certificates and any other relevant certificates in proof of qualifications and experience via registered post to reach Deputy Registrar/ Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, Adiyapatham Road, Kokuvil, Jaffna. Applicants are requested to send scanned copies of all the documents to the email address: fomvacancy@univ.jfn.ac.lk on or before Monday, 11 December 2023.

Applicants from the University System/ Government Departments/ Corporations and Statutory Boards should channel their applications through the Heads of respective Institutions but may send an advance copy in the first instance.  However, no such applicant will be considered for interview, if the application channeled through the Head of the Department is not received.

The candidates who apply for more than one post should submit a separate application along with a separate Bank slip for each of the posts. Illegible & incomplete applications and applications received after the closing date will be rejected without intimation. The post applied for should be marked on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
