University of Jaffna will entertain applications up to 09.11.2016 from suitably qualified persons for the under mentioned posts.

  1. Posts of Temporary Lecturer/Temporary Instructor in Art & Design
  2. Posts of Visiting Lecturer / Visiting Instructor in Drama & Theatre Arts
  3. Posts of Visiting Demonstrator in Spatial Information System (SIS) and Remote Sensing (Planning)Qualification for Visiting Lecturer
  • A special degree in relevant field/subject and a Postgraduate degree (M.Phil/Ph.D) in relevant field/subject OR
  • First or second class special degree in relevant field/subject with at least five years teaching experience

Qualification for Visiting Demonstrator: A special degree in the field of Planning

  • Application form for each position may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar/ Academic Establishments, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, either in person or by post, on a payment of Rs.100/- per application form at People’s Bank, University Branch or at the Shroff’s counter of the University of Jaffna.
  • Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a Money Order/Postal Order for Rs.100/- drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna together with a self –addressed stamped envelope 23×10 c.m. in size.
  • Application forms and other details will also be available in the University website www.jfn.ac.lk. Those who wish to send the application forms downloaded from the University website should attach a Money Order/Postal Order for Rs.100/- to the applications forms drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna.

  • Those who wish to apply for more than one post should apply in separate forms.
  • Applicants from the University System/Government Departments /Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of respective Institutions. Illegible, incomplete and late applications will be rejected without intimation. Only short listed applicants will be called for an interview.
