VACANCIES – Post of Temporary Assistant Lecturer,Demonstrator and Instructor

University of Jaffna will entertain applications to reach us on or before 02.05.2017 from qualified Sri Lankan Nationals for the undermentioned Temporary posts.

FACULTY OF SCIENCE

  • Temporary Assistant Lecturer / Temporary Demonstrator in Botany / Chemistry/ Physics / Zoology / Fisheries
  • Temporary Assistant Lecturer /Temporary Instructor in Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science
  • Temporary Instructor in Computing

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject with First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours;

OR

2. A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject with Second Class (Lower Division) Honours;

OR

3.(a) A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject without Honours or any other degree with at least Second Class Honours,

AND

(b) a recognized postgraduate degree in the relevant subject

In addition to the above salary, the allowances approved by University Grants Commission applicable to the posts will also be paid./

Candidates who are awaiting the results of the final degree examinations may also apply for the post of Temporary Demonstrator/ Temporary Instructor.

Application forms and other details may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar/ Academic Establishments, University of Jaffna, Sri-Lanka, either in person or by post, on a payment of Rs.100/- per application form. Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a Money Order drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna together with a self – addressed stamped envelope 23×10 c.m. in size.

Applications shall be sent to the Deputy Registrar/Academic Establishments, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

Application forms and other details will also be available in the University website www.jfn.ac.lk. Those who wish to send the application forms downloaded from the University website should attach a Money Order for Rs.100/- per application form drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna.

Those who wish to apply for more than one post should submit separate application for each.
Applicants from the University System/Government Departments/Corporations and Statutory Board should channel their applications through the Head of respective Institutions. Illegible, incomplete and late applications will be rejected without intimation. Only short-listed applicants will be called for an interview.
