WALK – IN – INTERVIEW

Walk in interview for appointment to the following two posts will be held on 17.08.2020 from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m at the Board room, Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna, Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi.

  • Temporary Research Assistant
  • Temporary Instructor in Mechanical & Process Engineering / Engineering Mathematics / Civil Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Computer Engineering.

The candidates for Temporary Research Assistant are expected to

  • Helping to identify business requirement of software and automation projects and prepare proposals for projects.
  • Helping to design, develop and execute automation activities using Office 365 applications.
  • Ability to create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Ability to handle basic SQL operations.
  • Help to identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Assist dean’s office for further development.
  • Any other direction given by the Dean.

Temporary Instructor in Mechanical & Process Engineering / Engineering Mathematics / Civil Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Computer Engineering are expected to

  • work with very cordial academic staff, and perform research and significantly improve their design skills in professional level
  • prepare and conduct laboratory experiments
  • Assist lecturers to conduct undergraduate programme

Required qualifications for both Categories

  • A UGC recognized Four Year Engineering Degree.
  • Candidates, who completed the engineering degree program and awaiting the results of the final examinations, may also apply for the above mentioned posts.

SALARY SCALE

  • Temporary Research Assistant – Rs. 49,860 (Fixed)
  • Temporary Instructor – Rs. 40,920/- (Fixed)
