Search for and encourage eminent persons to apply for the post of Vice-Chancellor

As per the UGC circular 02/2020, the Council at its special meeting held on May 22, 2020, appointed a Search Committee to search for and encourage eminent persons to apply for the post of Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jaffna.
As a part of its efforts to hunt for potential candidates, the Search Committee herewith requests the University community to propose the names of potential applicants who could provide a dynamic and able stewardship to the University, and possess following qualities:
- High academic caliber and outstanding research achievements
- Honesty and integrity.
- Strategic focus and holistic thinking/conceptual skills.
- Leadership qualities and managerial competence.
- Professional communication skills
More information about the stipulated competencies of potential candidates, and application procedure could be obtained from UGC Circular, Annexure I, Annexure-II and Paper Advertisement Tamil, Sinhala and English.
