Vacancy for the Post of Research Assistant (On Contract)

(Development of a Mobile-based Dengue Monitoring and Warning System)

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Research Assistant (On Contract) at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science, University of Jaffna, with an opportunity to register for a postgraduate research degree.

Required qualifications:

• A Four year Bachelors Degree in the field of Computer Science obtained from a UGC recognized
  University.
• Prior experience in Industrial Software Development would be an added advantage.

Expected Technical Skills:

Web development technologies, mobile application development technologies (USSD, Android, and LBS), machine learning techniques, and development knowledge in GIS

Stipend: Rs. 480,000 per annum + Tuition fees for the postgraduate studies
