A team of delegates from the British Council visited the University Jaffna

A team of delegates from the British Council visited the University Jaffna today and had a productive discussion with our Vice-Chancellor; Professor Sivakolundu Srisatkunarajah.

South Asia Regional Director; Mr. Adrian Chadwick, Senior Project Manager – SEDR(E & S) ; Mr. Andrew Cross and Teaching Operations Manager (Sri Lanka); Mr. Pavalaxan Pararajasingam from the British Council have attended this meeting. On behalf of the university, Head of the Department of English Language Teaching (DELT); Dr. K. Sanmuganathan, Senior Lecturer Mrs. R. S. Rajashanthan and Prof. K. Gajapathy (Active Citizens facilitator) have joined the discussion.

The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the delegates and the discussion was about the current practices and necessary improvement related to the English language education in our university and Jaffna peninsula. In addition, the discussion featured about the collaborative projects, such as GGP-UNICYCLE and Active Citizens, between the British Council and the University of Jaffna.
