VACANCIES

Applications are invited by me up to 31st March, 2022 from suitably qualified persons for the following posts.

  • INSTRUMENT CARETAKER CUM REPAIRER, GRADE III (Musical Instruments or Dancing Instruments)

 Qualifications:

  • Should have sat for the G.C.E (A/L) Examination
  • Should have at least two (02) years’ experience and ability in repairing and fixing Musical Instruments or Dancing Instruments or Arts & Sculpture Instruments in a Higher Educational Institute or reputed institute.
  • Experience in maintenance of issue registers and storage of instruments.
  • Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
  • Should be of good character sound physical health.

Salary Scale : U-MN1 (IIIA) –  Rs.30,725-17×300-35,825 p.m

Selection     : By Practical test and interview

Age               : Not more than 45 years

  • NURSING OFFICER (GRADE II)

Qualifications:

  • GCE (Ordinary Level) Examination in Six subjects at not more than two sittings with credit passes in three subjects.

AND

  • Certificate of competence as a Nurse recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council.

Salary Scale: U-MT 1(IIIA) – Rs.31, 625-7×300; 10×355-37,275 p.m.

Selection      : By Interview

Age limit      : Not more than 40 years.

Note: Age limit is not applicable for applicants in the Government departments/ State Corporation and statuary bodies.

Applicants should deposit the Application Fee of Rs.100.00 at any branch of the People’s Bank in favour of University of Jaffna Collection Account Number: 9700 0009 0000 387. A copy of the Bank Deposit Slip should be attached with the application as the proof of the payment of Application Fee.

Copies of certificates in support of the Educational/Professional qualifications and experience as at the closing date of the applications must be attached to the applications.

The envelope containing the duly filled application form must bear Title of the Post should be indicated on its top left hand corner and either hand delivered or sent under registered post to reach the Office of the Deputy Registrar/ Non-Academic Establishments, University of Jaffna, P.O. Box 57, Thirunelvely, Jaffna on or before 31.03.2022.

Applicants from Government Departments, State Corporations and Statutory Bodies should apply through their Heads of respective Institutions. Advance copies of applications may be sent in the first instance. However, no such applicant will be considered for appointment if the application routed through the Head of Department is not received.

Incomplete and illegible applications and applications that are received after the closing date and without the copies of certificates will be rejected without intimation.
